Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026
This policy covers Mezzala Match during its beta. It's a small, solo-built project, so this explains plainly what's collected and why.
Signing in with Google: Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with the game so it can create your account and let you return to it. Sign-in is handled by Google (under Google's own privacy policy) — the game never sees or stores your Google password. Mezzala Match uses the same Mezzala sign-in as Mezzala Legends, but each game keeps its own account and data.
What other managers see: your display name and your team's name, colours, squad, bids, offers and results are visible to the other managers in your league. Your email address is not shown to them.
Gameplay data: your leagues, squads, bids, trades, line-ups, votes and match results are stored so the game can run. This data is used only to run the game.
AI-generated text: match commentary, player verdicts and match reports are written using Google's Generative AI API. To do that, the match facts are sent — real players' names and statistics, and the two teams' names. A team name may include your display name; your email and account details are never sent.
What we don't do: no payment details are collected (there are no real-money purchases), no data is sold or shared with advertisers, and no analytics or tracking scripts run on the site.
Cookies and storage: a sign-in session cookie keeps you signed in. A few display preferences (such as the highlights setting and table style) are kept in your browser's local storage. Neither is used for advertising or tracking.
Your data is stored with our hosting and database providers (Vercel and Neon) purely to run the game — they have no independent right to use it.
Keeping and deleting your data: it is kept while your account exists. Email bensellars12@hotmail.co.uk at any time for a copy of your data or to have your account deleted. Because this is a beta, leagues and data may also be reset as the game changes.
Mezzala Match is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect data from children under 13.
This policy may be updated as the game moves out of beta. If you're in the UK or EU and have concerns about how your data is handled, contact us first; you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO).
